Add a Virtual Background

You can add a virtual background to a webcam recording using OneMob's AI-Powered Virtual Screen — no actual green screen required. You can apply this while recording live or afterward during post-editing.

Add a Virtual Background While Recording

1. Click the plus icon in the top-left corner of your dashboard.
2. Click Record Video.
3. Choose your recording mode:
   • Webcam only, or
   • Webcam and screen
4. Click AI-Powered Virtual Screen.
5. Choose a blur effect or a preset image, or click Select Image to choose an image from your library or upload one from your device.
6. Click Close.

Add a Virtual Background After Recording (Post-Editing)

1. Click the Library icon on the left side of your dashboard.
2. Under Content, click the video you want to edit.
3. Click Edit.
4. Click Background Replacement.
5. Choose your background type:
   • Green Screen Background — use this if you recorded in front of an actual green screen.
   • AI-Powered Virtual Screen — use this if you recorded without a green screen; OneMob's AI will detect and replace your background automatically.
6. Click Add image or video to choose an image/video from your library or upload one from your device.
7. Click Apply.
8. Click Save.

Important: We recommend Save as New. If you click Save, your edited video permanently replaces the original. Save as New preserves your unedited recording so you can try different backgrounds later.
